I saw an interesting program last night called Revolution OS which basically talked about the GNU project and OPEN SOURCE movement, but also delved back into computer prehistory and touched on this club that a lot of the early computer wanks belonged to. The founders of Apple Computers, among others, met to discuss the brand new Altair 8800, Altair Basic, and programming in general; such early collaborations are generally credited with giving rise to the personal computer movement and industry.
